Local Priorities

Anti-Social Behaviour including Anti-Social Driving

Issued: 30 Apr 2026

Status Update

We continue to work to address ongoing ASB issues in the district utilising data analysis to highlight Hotspot areas for targeted patrols. The data does not always reflect what the community see and our Neighbourhood Policing Team work closely with the Community and Partners to identify gaps and address these.
Where possible we always seek to identify those causing ASB and will first look at interventions and support and when this fails, we will explore further options such as Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and Community Protection Notices before proceeding with the Criminal Justice route where suitable.
Operation Tenacity continues to identify those driving in an anti-social manner ensured the appropriate action is taken and this is further supported by our colleagues in Roads Crime Unit. This is a particularly challenging area of policing due to risk involved particularly with E-Scooters and Off-Road Bikes and Community support is essential in tackling this problem.

Tackling the misuse of Drugs/Vulnerability within the Community

Issued: 30 Apr 2026

Status Update

Work continues in this area with support from the Communities who provide intelligence which directs police actions. This intelligence is key to supporting the police to not only conduct search warrants in the District, but it also feeds into the bigger picture of County Lines which can span several police forces and supports our colleagues in Regional Crime Teams to tackle Organised Crime.
While tackling this we also work with partner agencies to identify those who are Vulnerable within the community and may be at risk of exploitation and a multi-agency approach is implemented to support those at risk.
If you have any information that can support us, please use the "Contact Us" section of this website or report anonymously through crimestoppers-uk.org.

Retail Crime

Issued: 30 Jan 2026

Status Update

Partnership work continues with Chester and North Wales Business Crime Reduction Partnership Team to support local businesses as well as our response to Retail Crime.
Couple with Op Bastion we have seen some excellent results in identifying offenders early and progressing them through the criminal justice system.
We continue working with our Prevention Team who can support businesses with a Design Out Crime Assessment which can help stores safeguard themselves and minimise the opportunities for Retail Crime.
We are also working with Partners in Checkpoint Cymru and our Integrated Offender Management team and Youth Offender Teams who can look at the offender and provide suitable support where required to prevent re-offending risk.
